W32.Korgo.V virus....help
A friend of mine has a virus..."W32.Korgo.V" on her computer. There is a removal tool on the internet for it but everytime she runs it it says it can't find the virus. Norton is popping up once about every half hour telling her it deleted the file, but then when she does a system scan, it says she has viruses that werent repaired. How can she get rid of this? Thanks.

have you tried running in safe mode and deleting the virus?
Start to safe mode and run Norton from there. Since little is loaded running in safe mode, you have a good chance of not loading the program creating the virus files at startup. It sounds as if a payload is being released by something she downloaded. Also, use hijack this to see if anything strange is being loaded at startup. Be careful with hijack this however, as you can screw up the computer if you use it wrong.
