Bittorrent files
I have been readin around on some other forums about peer to peer networking and have reached the conclusion that I would like to give bittorrent clients a try. I think I gotta find a website that has bittorrent files to download in my application (bitcomet) The only website I can find with a variety of content is supernova. I would appreciate any other suggestions of search engines or websites. Oh ya, the main reason why I got this is to of course d/l porn.

Here's a good one.

I've heard that the MPAA is cracking down on torrent sites that host trackers. Anybody have thoughts about when they'll try to crack down on individual users, like they did with napster and kazaa?
I first used BitTorrent to download Linux ISOs. I was amazed at how quickly I could download all three Red Hat CDs in just a matter of hours! Since then, I've round it to be a great way of catching up on TV shows or looking up particular episodes of the Simpsons. |

And that fact that you can get just about anything, from software to television programs to movies, akes it pretty exciting. Remember, make sure the artists get paid. Peace, Pierre

You might want to give this a listen:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...toryId=4227386 (12-14-04)MPAA is stepping up lawsuits against tracker sites, and European edonkey sites. It seems they're interested in finding a precedent against the hosts and trackers. How they'll be able to differentiate these from a having a photocopier in a library (which was a Canadian judge's standard in defense of the trackers) is yet to be seen. |

Really, what can the MPAA/RIAA do to torrent sites? There is nothing illegal about them is there? They have no copyrighted data on the sites, only links to it. Here in sweden the biggest torrent tracker has been threatened a bunch of times from different companies, but since the site is not illegal according to Swedish laws, no action has ever been taken.
For a good laugh go to The Pirate Bay and click on the "Legal threats" link.

connyosis the RIAA/MPAA have money, thats holds more water here in the states than the law does in cases dealing with copyrighting. I'll give supernova a week Tops.
