free url redirection for existing domains?
ok so I registered a domain over at Brinkster, thinking that I'd be able to URL redirect with it. Apparently, that service is not offered. I tried to get my money back, but they are claiming that they can't undo the registration / give me my money back. So now I'm out of $9...but more importantly, the domain I want is taken by me for a year.
Is there any service that could take that domain and redirect it to an existing URL, being the domain is already registered? (free?) |

if you have any worthwhile hosting, you can get brinkster to change the DNS settings to your new host - if not, just make your brinkster index.htm page have a frame that covers the whole frame that redirects you to your new site. It's not hard to do using html.

http://www.zoneedit.com -- is your friend. Free full-service DNS hosting. Sign up for an account and have Brinkster update your DNS entries to use zoneedit's ones (they show you how during the registration process). Then ZoneEdit lets you run your own DNS services, even MX servers, e-mail forwarding, URL forwarding, subdomains, anything! I don't remember how I found it but it's hands-down the best DNS service out there. And free!!
