Creative Audigy 2 being picky
This definitely makes me scratch my head in amazement.
I have an Audigy 2 (just vanilla) and I've had it for about 2 years now but recently I formatted so I went about installing all the drivers and all that good stuff. I come to install the sound card drivers and I decide why not just download right from the net so I do. I think this is where my problems started but right now, its been about a week after the format and my sound card is being picky for some reason. Some things work and other things really just don't work at all. I could get Rome- Total War to work and WMP while playing music but anything other then that it doesn't work. I ended up downloaded multiple drivers and sometimes I could actually get the sound to work... then I restarted and I was back to square one. So I'm here right now after just updating drivers and installing the Creative software for the card (Mediasource I think its called?) and the best part is whenever I click it, I apparently don't have a sound card... but when I play RTW I have perfect sound. I have no idea how to fix this and I can't find it anywhere on google or i'm just not looking hard enough. Any help would be great! |

Can you see your sound card in device manager???
Do you have Service pack 2 installed?? How recent are the drivers for you sound card?? Why not just try the original drivers? Maybe take your sound card out, power on, power off and reinstall. ~Zach
