Best way to cleans monitor screens????
I know you're not supposed to use Windex or any glass cleaner and have been told to use rubbing alcohol..... is this right and does it work?
|
Use Windex, but DO NOT spray it directly on the monitor. Spray it on a paper towel and then wipe the screen.
|
terry cloth

Be wasteful buy the screen cleaning clothes from the store. Not sure what is in them tho'
|
I've seen at the stores a "monitor safe" version, I don't know what the difference is. I usually just use a damp soapy cloth or sponge, it seems to do the job well.

I'd be weary of using windex at all, even if just sprayed on a paper towel. It will eat away at the finish on the monitor. Use something specific for electronics like Endust for electronics anti-static spray.

Why would that be Mzm? CRT monitors use just a peice of glass. Maybe not a flat screen or a laptop monitor I definately wouldn't use windex on that.
|
Windex is especially horrible to Laptop monitors.
It will eat away at your finish. In that case, use Kensington monitor cleaning fluid. Your local computer store place thingy like best buy sshould have it. |
