PDF Editing
I need some help. I would like to edit PDF files, what free software can I use, or where can I get a hacked programme ?
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. |
No free software for doing that, you need the full Adobe Acrobat (not reader) software. Possibly Adobe Distiller?
Other than that, the ol' P2P networks are your only source. |
There is one other option, to quote the author of the panda pdf generation library:
"Sure, you can edit pdf's. You just need a hex editor." :) |
"hexedit" is a decent editor.. I'm not sure where you can get it from though..
Other than that.. Time to fork out $700.00 USD for Distller/Acrobat Writer.. or pirate it; but WE DONT CONDONE THAT HERE AT THE TFP.. Riiiiight? :D |
I believe Distiller (which comes as part of the Acrobat package) is used for turning other documents ( .doc, .ppt, .html, etc.) into PDF files, which is why it becomes on of your 'printing' options but I could be wrong.

yeah, Distiller is pretty much for creating PDF.
you just need Full version of Acrobat to edit. (meaning, for example, you wouldn't have to install the Distiller part of the full Acrobat install) now then...another thing to consider along with *acquiring* the copy of the application... is that some PDF's when they are originally created have security applied to them, so that you cannot edit them. [edit] Hex editing the PDF is an interesting concept, i'll have to try that sometime :) oh, and WinHex is also good. [/edit] |
You have no legal option.
