Changing the original user name in XP?
I bought the base computer I started out with from a buddy, and every time I try to install a program it wants to register it to his name. A complete format will be coming up sometime in the future, but is there any way for me to change this now?

Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion. In the right pane, double click RegisteredOwner and change the Value data.
