Can't boot up in Safe Mode
 

I'm running Windows 2000, and whenever I try to boot up in safe mode (using F8), it will load up a black screen listing a bunch of "partition"s, and it will freeze on that screen. Is there any way for me to fix this? Please help! Thx!

do you have rescue disks? if you do try that.

if this is a hard disk partition related issues depends on what file system you are running to get a good solution in place.
if its fat32 , its much easier to diagnose and repair
if its ntfs
u can only do a chkdsk /f perhaps from recovery console or perhaps if you have the resources use a winternals bootdisk (CDISO) and then tinker about.
without an exact error i cant be of any more help
