Converting AVI to DVD format
 

I recently downloaded some old movies, and I want to burn them to DVD. What program should I use to convert them from DIVX AVI to DVD? And after that, what program should I use to burn them to DVD? And finally, how can I do all of that for free?

btw does your comp have to be of a certain speed to make a DVD? because the program i tried using before i saw this keeps freezing and stuff
