One of my housemates recently bought a Linksys one. We have a linksys wireless router and there have been zero problems with either setting it up, or using it. I'm using a wireless G linksys PCI card in my PC as well, and no complaints.
I'd say go with linksys. |

How many PCs are you going to be hooking up this? If it is three Notebooks/Desktops or less. Go with a b and save money. If it is more, go with a G. I have a Netgear and I have zero complaints.

No, what happened was that I bought a laptop for my girlfriend for
using at University. It has B built in, but just as I got the laptop - the university upgraded all of it's network to using Wireless G only. I believe they had some security issues and they do not support B at all now.

In that case, go for a G, you kind of have to. Go for a netgear but look online at places like Bestbuy, Circuit City, and Comp USA. Some times they have these retarded sales with 70 to 100 dollars in rebates for this stuff.

The Netgear, Linksys and DLink are all around $80 canadian ... and the iNexq is around $60.
I was going to go ahead and the the iNexq (I have a iNexq router and never had a problem with it) but I cannot find any warranty info on it. Both the Linksys and Dlink have 1 year warrantys, and the Netgear has a 3 year.

I can give you a review of the Netgear WG511 (the aforementioned POS) when I get it up and running in the wife's laptop. (with my SMC router)
Also, I got it for $64.99 at FutureShop. I'm sure you can do better than $80. Best of luck in the meantime. |
