when I right click on a phot on an internet site, it automatically saves it as a .bmp image and I cant change it, and the file name is lost (I guess cos it is originally a jpg file?)

Is there anyway I can change this, so I can save pictures as .jpg's when I'm browsing with IE (v 6.0 - and I have XP Home)

I have run into this problem a handfull of times on clients PC's. It happens 99% of the time when your Internet Cache has become currupt.

To correct this :-

In internet Explorer go to
Tools, then Options, select the General tab, and then click the Delete Files button.

Restart Internet explorer and all should be fixed.

clear your cookies and temporary internet files that should solve your problems.
