Quick question about s-video on my laptop
My laptop has a s-video out on it which is a 7 pin female mini din. I want to get a cable so i can get my laptop on my tv. I have found plenty of these on ebay but they are all 4 pin cables with phono for audio. Will the 4 pin cables work with the 7 pin output and if so what are the other 3 pins in the middle for...........audio??? this would explain why all the cables i have looked at have the phono on them aswell.
Thanks for looking Si |

Hey guy. S-Video is only video. The 7-pin connectors have extra pins for component video. You can use a standard 4-pin S-Video cable, and a set of audio cables hooked up between you headphone jack and your stereo for sound.
Here's a link: http://www.weethet.nl/english/video_...2tv.php#svideo for the details.
