4 port usb hub - flash drive

i got a usb flash drive. I want to be able to hook it to 3 computers at the same time. Ive herd you can hook the flash drive to the usb hub. and th 3 computers to the same hub and it will work. Just getting you guys input on weather on not this works. And if there is any drawbacks.

don't think there would be a why to directly do it, you could use a network and shares though and get it done

Sounds pretty cool, but sorta not worth it... especially at the price pen/thumb drives go for now...

well its for the the fact me and a couple friends work togeter and need access to the same files. And with the network setup the way it is we cant share a drive on the network so this seemed like the next best thing. Tomorow im gonna take my 20 gig NAS and try and hook it up to the network. Hopefuly no one says anything to me hehe.

Cuz right now we half to keep taking the pen drive out of the computers(without front usb, which makes it a pain) and puting it in each others when we need sertain files. And it aint that bad but if we could share it somehow it would be alot better.

I know this is a little OT, but a cheap usb extension cable can make it a lot less painful - keep it plugged in, with the empty end on your desk...
