Regarding GMail.. How are its spam filters?
Heya everyone.
Until now, I have used two different email accounts online. One for regular emails, and one for spam and registration (which could ultimately also be spam). I recently received a Google invite and am experiencing the interface for the first time. My main question/concern is in regards to GMail's spam filters. How are they? Does anyone use their GMail address for "everything" online? That includes registration and other sign-ups that may result in spam.. It would be nice to be able to use one address online, but before doing so I'd like to hear feedback from others about GMail in general, and specifically, how it's spam-management system works? Thanks!

I've been using Gmail for a few months now and haven't gotten one spam mail in my inbox as of yet. I've been using this address for anything and everything I've signed up for online, but with that being said, I haven't signed up for much. It still might be a good idea to keep a "spam" mail account just in case. Or you could use <a href="http://www.dodgeit.com">dodgeit</a>. When you're signing up for something that could yield spam, just fill in a <yourname>@dodgeit.com adderess, then go to the dodgeit site, sign in (you won't need a password or a "real" account because this is just a temporary account anyway), and you can reply back to complete the registration or whatever you need to do without actually signing up for anything. I probably didn't give a good explaination of this, so if you'd like to know more, just ask.
