Video cards

 I am looking for a video card. I need an inexpensive video card but one that will work well with Diablo II Lord of Destruction, and Battle field 1942. Possibly some other games. I need to stay under 80 dollars is that possible.

Your best bet is a refurbished GeForce 4 TI4200. Hell, you might be able to find a new one for that price by now. If ya wanted to spend a few extra bucks ($100) you could get a Radeon 9600 Pro or a GeForce FX 5600 Ultra. All three of those cards are about equal.

The FX5700 costs basically the same as the 5600 so thats even better then.

I don't know, the FX 5700 Ultra is $166 on NewEgg which is a ripoff. A Radeon 9600 Pro for around $100 is a better deal. The Radeon 9600 XT (the competition for the FX 5700 Ultra) is $135 on NewEgg, so there is a big price difference if your budget is $80. I honestly don't think those cards are worth the extra $30. If you're gonna spend $130, may as well spend a bit more and get a Radeon 9700 or a GeForce FX 5900 XT.

Take a look at the guide I just posted today. It'll answer many of your questions about videocards.

All I can say is that the FX 5700 Ultra is better than the 5600 Ultra, but not by much, and it's basically not worth the extra money you're paying if you're on a tight budget.

If you want to spend more than $80, just post a reply here or in the guide. There's plenty of cards out there worth the money if ya wanna spend more than $80.
