As the subject says, I now own a Dell Axim X5 300Mhz series.

Unfortunately as a college student, I need a laptop instead of the PDA. My question is -- is anyone here perhaps interested in owning a high-end PDA in exchange for a low-end laptop?

I'm looking at something around 300 Mhz in turn for the laptop, for a 300 Mhz PDA.

i have a laptop thats not in the greatest condition meaning you might want to recase it(the case took a trip) but it works fine i can install an os for you almost of your choice (uh yea if its windows the key is going to be kazaaed) but id be willing to swap and if your interested i can recharge my digi cam and take pics i also wouldnt mind seeing pics of ur pda

I have a laptop in tip top shape. It is a Dell inspiron 3000 M233XT
It is running windows 98 second edition and has 112 mb of ram.

It's old, but it still works just fine...it was one of my fathers business computers and I took it before he donated it to charity.

Could both of you please post the specs of your respective laptops -- CPU, Memory, Hard Drive, included ports (such as PCMCIA, NIC, Serial, PS/2, USB, etc) as well as any physical/cosmetic damage?

The Axim is in perfect condition -- all other stats on it can be looked up on Dell's website under handhelds, concering the '300Mhz 32Mb. variant'.

allright sadly i got bored and tinkered with mine(me and some friends took it and attempted fucking with a payphone using erm stuff) and i kinda fried something on th mobo it wasnt in that great of shape any ways sry

I think you are out of luck here as well. I apparently deleted microsoft networking, and I can't get the drivers and stuff back as I don't have a windows cd, or a cd drive. Sorry, I have wanted a PDA for awhile.
