Free mp3 tagging action?
I did a search and didn't find any other threads on the tfp. I know i could've googled, but i was just curious about the tfper's opinion on quality tagging programs.

I'm guessing you are using PC. When I used Windows I used a program called Dr. Tag: http://www.download.com/Dr-Tag-Plus/...ml?tag=lst-0-1
If you are running Mac, check out MP3 Rage: http://www.download.com/MP3-Rage/300...ml?tag=lst-0-1 |
The new Windows Media Player has this function in it.
I set my firewall to block WMP, but I think this is a cool feature. Right-click on the song and go to "Advanced Tag Editor" and it is all there. |
I use and love Tag&Rename...pretty efficient (my mp3 collection is pretty big, everything I do is on album scale, not single tracks) and of course with freedb, plus allmusic.com (which is nice if you're without track #s on an album).
but it's not Freeware ;) |
ID3-TagIT is a great freeware program.

Supports freedb, mass id3 editing, and a host of other functions. Has a low learning curve. Mainly just remembering shortcuts. |
I second Tag & Rename. Very efficient and it's easy to use.
|
The masstager included in Foobar2000 is all I need.
|
me and blitzkrieg used the Zortam ID3 tag editor. Search for it on download.com
it has a 30-use trial though, be warned |

Just the last "big" update and minor bugfixes. I'm using 3.1.0 - so if its been updated beyond that...
|
Thanks for the suggestions. :)
I found one called musicbrainz and aside from the early nineties use of the letter 'z' it seems to work all right for my needs. |
