Weird computer question about saving images
Every time I right click in IE and try to save an image by going "Save Picture As..." it always saves it as a bitmap and the title comes up as "untitled" I can't change the type of picture and I would like to the title of the pic to be what it is on the server. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Something similar has happened with my system, and it coincided with not being able to import MS Money files any more. After you clear your Temporary Internet Files, there is a Settings button in that same section you'll want to click on. Click the View Objects button. This is a list of various ActiveX components that have been installed (toolbars, Windows Update control, etc.) Chances are, there's at least one in there that is marked as Unknown or Damaged. Delete anything like that, close out of that window and Internet Explorer, reopen and try again. If that doesn't work, delete the rest of them in that list (they'll prompt to reinstall the next time they're needed anyway, so there should be no issues there) and that should work.
Of course, your other alternative is to switch to Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, or Netscape... |

For what it's worth, following the above instructions (even mine) didn't work. (Yes, I'm currently suffering from the same problem.) I think I got a small piece of spyware hiding out somewhere, but I haven't really had the desire to try to really fix it, as I regularly use Opera as my browser.
Quick fix: www.mozilla.org It's a heck of a lot more stable and not vulnerable to the countless bugs Microsoft is notorious for. |

I still haven't been able to figure out what happened to my right click function. When I right click and the menu pops up, I used to hit "S" for Save as. Now the shortcut doesn't work. I have to actually scroll to it with my mouse and click on it. I am using XP and IE. I tried Mozilla, but I didn't like it.
