Rattle in the headphones?

My Grado SR-60s have recently begun to rattle in one of the earpieces. It sounds like something is rattling whenever there is loud or very bass-rich noise... Whats going on? Is there anything I can do about it? I really dont want to buy new headphones

the speaker may be coming unscrewed from the mount. Try carefully disassembling them until you find the speaker screws and see if one's loose.

Actually on grado's it's that the diaphram is creased, it doesn't need to be opened to be fixed. What you can do is follow the steps listed on this forum

I know I shouldn't link to other forums, but that site is pretty good, and I don't want to take credit for other people's solutions.

Holy crap! That site is great! Im going to try that out tonight when I get home... Thanks for the link!

I wouldnt worry about that being a link to another forum... Its a link to a specific post helping a member. I dont think any of the mods will particularly care about it.

I had this same exact problem happen to my AKG 401s - I sent them back to the company and they actually gave me the new revision of the 'phones, 100% free (cept for original postage)
