Clicking on a link in Outlook - FireFox
O.K., I searched the forums on FireFox support and couldn't find anything on this one so I turn to you guys.
I am using Outlook 2003 and FireFox. Thunderbird is not an option right now because Outlook 2003 handles all of my different e-mail address in one Inbox (and one "send/receive" setting). When I click on a link in an e-mail message two things happen. 1) My browser pops up, which is what I want it to do. 2) A dialog box opens as well looking for an executable file, which I don't want. This happens everytime I click on a link and is really getting annoying. Anyone know how to stop this? Thanks,

FireFox 0.9.2
The only way I know how to do a screenshot is to paste it into something like Word. If there is a way to make a jpg out of it I can post it here. I am running two monitors with FireFox on the right and Outlook on the left. The dialog box opens on the left monitor (which is my primary monitor). It says "Locate Link Browser" at the very top of the dialog box and is asking me to select an executable file.

Aha, I think the bug is an edge case of:
Bug 246078 - URLs from other apps result in two Firefox windows or a window and an error dialog (Set as Default Browser does a lousy job creating ddeexec keys) and the workaround answer is in this thread: Firefox 0.9.x Incorrectly Setting Itself as Default Browser - MozillaZine Forums. Let me know if the registry fix in that thread does it for you.

This exact same thing has been happening to me, I didn't really worry about it so far as it is just a bit of an annoyance. Plus I can wait for 1.0 to come out and hope that solves the problem.
I'll try the suggestion redlemon made when I get home today and report back.

redlemon,
You're right, it worked. I saw that thread on the support forum but I ignored it because it seemed to be a different issue. Thanks,
