Wanted: Old legacy office suite for Mac OS 8.6 PPC(603e) - Tilted Forum Project Discussion Community

My grandpa is looking for an office suite (Word processor and spreadsheet) for an old computer of his.

Any suggestions? The programs can be seperate. He has a PPC (603e, 180Mhz) running Mac OS 8.6.

your gonna have a hard time trying to find anysort of office suite for an OS that old....

maybe try ebay or try updating the OS to 9.0 if you can... that way you'll be able to find more apps (ie microsoft works for mac, or apple works)

8.6 is as far as this computer will upgrade to.

I'm running AppleWorks 5 on my Quadra 630CD. It's quite compatible. Plus, the files are droppable onto floppy disks, and transportable to the G3s and 4s there (though this is not the normal method of file transfer between home and school-- I run an ftpd for a damn good reason, yo).
