Problem With Internet Explorer..Any Ideas?
If anyone can help me out with this, it would be a great help. I already googled some stuff that I thought might relate to my problem, and I found nothing.
Here's the deal: for about two months, everytime I visit a page in IE, it won't load a pop-up or some animation on the page unless I right-click on the taskbar for the original window at the bottom of my screen, and then click back in the original window. Once I do that, the page starts working again. This is really frustrating and it sometimes causes IE to go unresponsive. Anyone know anything about this? I'm using Windows 2000 Professional, and Internet Explorer 6. I've downloaded all the security patches for it already, and they didn't help. Thanks for any info you might have. By the way, if you need to ask me a question to get to the bottom of this problem, feel free to. |
I can't tell you what the problem is but I had certain problems browsing with IE6 and it was pissing me off no end.
I changed to Mozzilla Firefox and have not looked back. Screw Internet Explorer, it blows big time. |

Another Firefox switch right here.
Not even looking back. |
can you give an example of a webpage this happens to you on? I'm trying to understand "load a pop up or some animation"
also, you running any browser toolbars/pop up stoppers? |
mikec,
an example is espn.com, it won't load the "my espn" sidebar until this right click + left click thing. It just stops loading the page after the main section loads, and then after I do that it finishes loading the "my espn" section on the right of the page and finishes loading. I don't use any browser toolbar/pop up stoppers, but I absolutely will try this mozilla firefox out. |
