Imageready?
Ok, here's the deal... Ive been doing web design for several years now and Photoshop has always been my biggest tool. But for some reason whenever I talk to someone else that does websites, they swear by ImageReady. After briefly trying it, I cant seem to find what its advantage is over using slicing and image maps in photoshop. If anything, the slicing capabilities seemed more cumbersome in ImageReady than in Photoshop. Can someone fill me in on what ImageReady can do that Photoshop cant?

the only thing I use imageready for is creating animated .gif's.

An easy way for you to find out is to go to Adobe's website http://www.adobe.com
Image ready is great for optimizing graphics for web delivery. You have control over the amount of colors displayed (in gif files) and the amount of compression that is used on the file. There are many more benefits of image ready that you can read about on the adobe website. |
