Tip: Change 'Registered Owner' in WinXP
Just in case anyone needed to know:
Start>Run, then type in regedit to get the Registry Editor. Then go to this spot in the editor: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion Enjoy. :) |
I suppose I <i>already</i> am the registered user. OH LOOK, that's SP1. What do you know about that? :D

Actually, when I set XP up on mine, my username was BoCo MoFo, but I've been wanting to change it for awhile to just Aaron. I figured out of 3,500+ peeps on the site, at least one other person might want to do the same.

Yes, this peep appreciates the input BoCo. In a paranoid privacy kind of thing, I put a psuedonym in there that I want to change to my real name. Thanks.

I thought this was a tip for copies of XP that may be, oddly enough, registered to someone else. I was being sarcastic to that. |
