Fonts and other messed up things...ie, HELP!
 

My girlfriend's parents' computer is going haywire. The old man installed a firewall and some ad/spyware killing software, and deleted a whole bunch of stuff. And now all of his fonts got deleted, and even though I set the "appearance" setting to "fixedsys" (you can do this by right-clicking desktop "properties", etc), it doesn't affect all text boxes (such as 3d buttons and some Internet Explorer text). So. I guess the questions I'm asking are a) does anyone know of anywhere/way I could download all of the base WinXP fonts from, b) has anyone else ever experienced this problem, and c) what other problems should I be keeping my eyes out for as I'm trying to fix this mess?

get out ye old winxp disk and do a repair see if that helps restore any lost system settings or features.
