Hardware from the UK
man, America's pretty f***ed up. ive been doing some research on vid cards cause thats all i need now for my comp. So I searched the web and forums to try to find a Sapphire X800 pro. Well, i only found a few decent sites, and each vid cards were worth around $453....and the ATI for $475. Now, i thought to myself.....seemed like it a semi decent deal. Seeing how the OEM was only a couple dollars cheaper.
Then, i ran across the Sapphire web page and saw that they had a list of places that sold Sapphire cards. Theres like a 50. Well, i just ran through a couple sites and found out that most UK sites are selling the cards for 255Euros......THATS ONLY $310!!!!!! and the XT is only $365!!!! im so pissed right now that i bought most of my parts in this great country of ours..... Right now, im considering buying my card oversea.... It might take a while to get to me....but i save a shitload of $$$ Last edited by oblivion; 06-02-2004 at 06:43 PM.. |

Import cost, and taxes will bump that price way up.
Ecost.com - $359.00 CDW - $389.00 CompUSA - $399.00 Computers4Sure - $399.00 CDW and Computers4Sure I've bought from, and would trust. For any UK Price, add another 17.5% to it, PLUS importing cost. You wont win that battle. And ffs, lose the hate.

Theres plenty of places in the UK selling the Sapphire X800 pro for £255 (thats GBP) + VAT = £299 inc VAT (no getting around VAT ) which comes to $547 (USD) now whos getting the good deal? Wish the prices in the UK were as good as the US...... |
