Outlook Express and AIM
This happens on every computer I've tried that has any version of XP Home, any versino of Outlook Express, and any version of AIM (including Deadaim and Aimutation) The only common factors are XP Home and AMD processors.
Whenever Outlook express is launched, either the buddy list pops up (if it's running) or the login screen pops up. None of the shortcuts have improper targets. I'm befuddled. |

You have to turn off AIM as your "default instant messaging program" IIRC. I don't know how or exactly what cause I don't touch Outlook anything with a 100 foot pole, but I remember my parents had this problem back when they used Outlook. It was something like that. Poke around in the Outlook settings.
