New ipod?
So I'm ready to buy an ipod, except I hear rumors of a new ipod coming. Does anyone know when it's going to be released?
Does anyone know of what new features will be integrated in it? I hear that the biggest improvement is that it's supposed to have a color screen. Anyone have any other info??? |

Yeah, there probably will be one.
But if you dont care if your songs are color coded by genre, just buy a current one. There's probably gonna be colour games on it too. And a possibility of Bluetooth, but why the fuck do you need those on a fucking MP3 player?

I suppose that I don't really need any new functionality on an ipod (other than including an FM radio), I just want them to fix a few annoyances of the current ipod. Not to mention that even if the new ipods don't have any added functionality that I want, at least they serve to lower the prices of the current ipods.

I own the first iPod...I love it. I probably won't buy a new one unless I happen to have an extra 300-400 bucks laying around.
This is the first I've heard of it, though. I have no idea whats in it, but heres some things i'd love to see in a future ipod: -XM Radio (okay..I can settle for FM) -Color video captabilities -plug-n-play on the PC version...so it can be used as a more practical portable hard drive -Definitly better earphones (theres some new ones advertised on the website already) I probably wouldn't mind sacrificing a little size in order to pack more stuff in...as long as they don't do something stupid like make it a phone. |

i think a colour interface would be kinda special as well, but its certainly not essential.

Just bought the 4G MuVo2, costs $50 less than the ipod mini. Had to buy new set of earphones but I've never gotten used to the earbuds so it was not a big deal.

the rumors are well-warranted, given that the Apple Worldwide Developer's Conference is from June 28 until July 1 (or something like that). Until a few years ago, Apple announced products at the Macworld Expo. After pulling out of that event, Apple now uses the WWDC for that. So, it's likely that something will be released.
So, if you can wait until then, you should. Otherwise, whatever iPod you get will rock, anyway. Good luck! |

The ipod definitely has its problems, but it is still probably the best overall mp3 player available. |
