Want older laptop.
I want an old laptop. I am talking about a PI maybe a PII, something in that class.
I'd like it to be functioning. I don't care if the battery is shot, but the rest should work fine. I'd like a cd-rom drive. I have looked all over the net, and on ebay. What people are somehow getting for useless laptops is beyond me. How they figure a 486 laptop is worth $125 I don't know. I intend to use it for typing papers at work, where I do security. I can't use their computers, so I want one. If any of you happens to have an old laptop sitting in a closet taking up space and getting dusty, and you don't think it's worth more than I do, I'd like to buy it from you.

Oh I looked on e-maybe-this-shit-is-overpriced-bay.
They've got laptops, sure. All I seem to find is much newer laptops than I can afford, beanbrain companies selling laptops via ebay. Most of the old laptops ARE being sold by used computer stores. They all want too damn much. Also, there are about 50 million hits to my searches. I just said "fuck it" after looking through pages of laptops that weren't Pentium Ones, even though I tried several seach strings. I got pretty useless results, so I stopped looking there.
