IE Explorer Customized?
Is it possible to add a customized picture to my IE bar, like under the XP logo on the right or something?
|
I'm confused...are you speaking of the display picture for an account at the loging screen? Or an icon on the explorer bar to easily denote the user at a glance? You could do either one, although the only way I can think of to do the later would be rather 'dirty'.

I'll make these assumptions:
- You are on WinXP Pro - You are using IE 6 You can change the windows logo to a custom logo. Simply do the following: Start menu -> Run -> gpedit.msc User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Internet Explorer Maint.. -> Browser User Interface: Custom Logo Double click 'custom logo' and you can set the logo to your own static (or animated) image. |
Well I tried editing my post, and I changed the title, and I guess it didn't actually change over on the thread view area.. :/ I Figured out that you can't make your user picture any bigger, so I changed my question and the title.
Edit: Optical, it's not working when I try to run gpedit.msc :/ Possible since I'm using XP Home? |
Yes, the "group policy" mmc snap-in won't work on XP Home.
I guess you could try doing it in the registry. {link} |
