Just switched from Catalyst 4.0 to 4.3..... wow !
 

So today I decided to update the drivers for my 9800 pro. I was running the Catalyst 4 drivers which I downloaded back in Febuary. Today I downlaoded the 4.3 drivers, but before I installed them I decided I was going to compare Aquamark benchmarks between the two sets of drivers. Here are the results:


Cat 4.0 : 32,452

Cat 4.3: 37,693


Wow!! A jump of more than 5,000 points, or in terms of Aquamark, about an extra 5 fps (16% increase in performance). I have never experienced THIS much difference simply between driver series. This may not seem like a big deal to the average comp user, but I'm sure all the modders out there can appreciate it. :icare:

Nice, do you think this would work for a 9700 pro too?

And, if it does work for a 9700 pro as well, can it get Windoze to recognize my card as 8x?
