two questons please help ok maybe three

1. every time I start up IE another window opens on the bottom of the window and it is [url]WWW.SEARCHEXE.how/passthrough/popupbaropener.html how do i get rid of it

2.in my program files i have a program DUMBTHIRDDEAF and i cant delete it. any suggestions

3. when i run adaware or spy bot huntbar keeps comming up. how do i get rid of that?

and i have run adaware and spybot s&d and it does not help.

Have you tried running Ad-aware and Spyboy S&D in safe mode? Also try running Spysweeper. It gets some things Spybot and Ad-aware don't get.

Answer to question 1. Change your homepage. It is under Tools-Options. I am not sure on the other two questions. You may try deleting that Dumbthirddeaf file in dos. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

For spybot after you have updated and scanned and found huntbar, make sure that you click fix selected problems. For adaware make sure that after you are done scanning that you check off the items to be removed (rightclick and select all will work here) then click on done for it to remove the items. by default both of these programs will NOT remove anything that they find without telling it to.

Also huntbar could be reinstalling itself from the homepage. If you aren't able to change the homepage, let us know.

In regards to deleting the program "DUMBTHIRDDEAF" make sure that it isn't running in the background first. This program may be in your startup so starting in safe mode as propaganda mentioned will help prevent it from running.

Try running spybot and adware after booting into safe mode. If that doesn't get rid of it, try this:

ok i got #1 cleared up thanks for the help. i will work on the hunt bar later when i have time.
