New System, Old Drives Help!!!

I am putting my system together tonight and I am using the old HDD out of my old one.

Master: Maxtor 120GB
Slave: Maxtor 60 GB

I am copying all of the slave data to the Master, and then installing my old Slave as the New Master.

Questions:
1) As my old slave was already formatted, will I need to run Maxblast to reformat? Or will I be allowed to continue right from the Bios into a Windows Install (Fresh)?

2) Will I be able to install my old Master as the new slave and keep all of my programs / files/ etc?

3) What can I do to wipe windows from my old Master/ New Slave while keeping my old data programs?

1) You can skip formatting if you want, and just intall Windows without doing anything to the drive (as long as it has a file allocation table to begin with).

2) yeah, just change the jumper on the hard drive to slave and hook it into the slave position on your IDE cable (the middle spot usually)

3) Not much you can do but just access the drive through Windows and delete the false "Windows" folder in there (along with Program Files and all that good stuff). What I would do is copy the info (as long is it isn't TOO much) over to the newly-installed Windows drive, format the old drive (to get rid of the old Windows install) and then copy the info back to the old hard drive again.

no problem. I've had quite the experiences with what you're talking about :)
