Safe registry key?
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME_PASSWORD_DISABLE] "iexplore.exe"=dword:00000000 "explorer.exe"=dword:00000000 Would this be safe to use? Site I got it from claims it to be fix for the syntax error when putting in direct passworded websites into IE. |
Yes, it's perfectly safe. It fixes the "fix" of not being able to get into passworded sites using protocol://name:password@site.com
edit: Damned smilies. |
If it fries my computer you're going down!

I guess if it does fry your computer we won't hear about it for a while... |
And then there is no warranty after that.
Microsoft <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5BLN%5D;834489">diddy</a> about such. Depending on if you do updates, or, as I call some of them, "oops damn". ;) |
