Windows-L
I thought I knew all the Windows shortcut keys already. But today, I was typing Ctrl-L in Firefox on my WinXP Pro computer to get to the Location bar, and accidentally hit Windows-L. Bang, computer is password-locked. No delay. I even tried it when the computer was under a stress load and running slow, and it was still instantaneous.
So, you pr0n-hounds at work, here's another way to hide what you are doing! |
Bah ha ha.
Great tip, but try doing that on a 300MHz ppro machine, with an 8meg video board and a page full of 1024x768 images. No insta-anything, I'll tell you that much. It really stinks when you try to minimize the page, and your other open apps are still displaying whatever-you-happened-to-be-viewing. ;) Nice tip though. |
Yup, that's the logoff shortcut. Another shortcut key combo: Windows + D brings you back to the desktop by minimizing all windows.

Score...
I see not using a keyboard with a Windows key isn't all its cracked up to be. But hey, atleast it shows of the good joyful days when Microsoft didn't exsist as a global power. |
Here's a list of Windows keyboard shortcuts.

Yeah, hit the Windows+L key as your boss walks in and wonders why your computer is locked and you aren't doing any work.
