Random Windows Explorer Errors

Greetings All,
Recently I have been gettings these errors (Windows Explorer) from my computer. Most of the time I won't be doing anything and I get a message that the Windows Explorer has suffered some type of error and must report it. I just put in a new harddrive and I am wondering if this is the cause or culprit of these new errors? What can cause these errors and what can be done about them? Thanks in advance

We might need a little more info but since you just added a new HDD, could it be that it's it's a very large drive and larger than 137GB? If so you may need something like Maxtor's Big Drive Enabler, at:

Check out the KB articles it links to on that page too.

Memtest86
http://www.memtest86.com/memt29.zip

will make a boot floppy that tests your memory (you shouldn't see any errors), but normally if you have bad RAM the whole thing crashes, not just Explorer....

So, I made the disk like the instructions indicated (memtest 86) but it didn't say how to actually test my memory (sorry if I am a complete dolt). How do I conduct a memory test? Thanks
