Adobe Acrobat too slow for you?
This could go in several forums, but this seems the most appropriate... I've found a *really* nifty utility that allows you to speed up the load time of Adobe Acrobat/Reader. It has cut my start-up time for the program from 10+ seconds to about 2. If you get a lot of PDF files at work, it could be handy...
It's freeware and it's located at http://www.tnk-bootblock.co.uk/prods/misc/index.php (top program) Disclaimer: I didn't write the program and don't know the guy who did. I just use it and have found it helpful. |
heh, yeah, I found out about that program on the Mozillazine forums. It's great :D

Wow, thanks!
That did help with a major annoyance. |
Thanks, I've come to loathe PDF's, maybe this will make them more tolerable.

Another thumbs-up for this (actually, I did the manual way, but the results are the same)!

i hope this works, i know how great the idea of pdfs is, i just wish it could be faster!

Nice little utility, 10 seconds to 5 for fast, or down to 3 seconds on super fast. Thanks for sharing.

I was actually considering installing something else to read PDFs due to acroread 6's lack of speed. Thanks.
