Best way to get websites submitted to search engines?
Well i'm doing work on my local chamber of commerces website...and I was wondering what is the best way to get it submitted to all the major search engines? Price isn't an issue either.

i usually just go to <a href="http://www.google.com/addurl.html">google's "add url" page</a>. and also submit it to <a href="http://www.dmoz.org/add.html">dmoz</a>. (both free)

If price isn't an object, there are a number of comapnies that will handle your submission to search engines, as well as what they call "search engine optimization (read: MetaTag KeyWords). Google a search for search engine submission companyies.
Speaking of which, you'll want to make sure that your keywords are setup so that relvant searches get your website into the search results. That's more often than not the problem.solution with search engines, not just gettin ghtem on, but making sure they show up at the top of a results list. |
mMerkerguitars, I would be happy to share my knowledge with you. I work as an Internet Marketing Specialist for my company, thirdwavedigital.com out of Macon, Georgia. As a matter of fact, I just completed work on the Macon Chamber of Commerce's website a few months ago and have been working through getting it listed, highly, on the major search engines.
I've worked hard to glean what knowledge that I do have. Do you have AIM or MSN messenger? Maconworks.com is the Chamber of Commerce's web initiative that I'm working on. I've gotten a pagerank of 5 from google, and I'm working hard on getting it higher. |
