USB Flash Drives

I am buying some USB Flash drives for the office here where I work, I need some advice on what to buy, It has to be at least 256Mb, and Driverless with all Windows OSs, and under $100 USD. I would also like to stay away from the Lexar Drives, we have had nothing but trouble with those, they seem to constantly lose data. Thanks in advance for any suggestions TFP!

not all Windows OSs support the MASS STORAGE USB device driver natively, that's read as Win95 and some Win98 boxes will not be able to use it without having to install drivers.

as for suggestions, cannot say since i don't own one of those things, CDs seem to work well enough for me.

You will need drivers for Win95/98 and NT4.

I have a 128mb Apacer drive thats USB2.0 so the speed is nice when its available. I've never lost any data off of it.

I have yet to lose data off of my 128mb lexar drive. Admittedly, it's not the brand I'd have chosen if I'd bought it, but it was free ;)

I spoke a little fast, I meant all W2K, XP, 98SE OSs, There SHOULD be no W95/NT machines left on our network... or 98SE for that matter, but you never know...

I've got a Kingston 256 and a Cyclone 512 mb. Invaluable devices for a quick transfer of drivers, patches and software to/from new machines which don't have internet access at work. Both have worked flawlessly with XP.

I have a generic 256 mb flash drive. despite it's un-name-brandedness, it works fine. I don't see how you could go wrong with any purchase. works with no drivers with WinXP.

I've got an apacer 256MB, works great. Don't know what i'd do without it.

As for brands, I suspect that most of them use the same chips and just place it in a nice case. But I like my apacer anyway.
