msconfig equivalent for W2k anyone?
Im trying to eliminate some annoying startup items that I have. The startup folder never has the ones u want :)
I used to know how, and im digging like crazy in my w2k books, but no luck. Thanks in advance.... Spas |
As far as I know MSCONFIG does not exist in 2000. However it does in XP. So all I did was copy my buddies MSCONFIG file from XP into my system folder, and everything is fine. I run Win2k server and I have had no problem with this trick.

If you need it, here's a link to the file:
http://www.perfectdrivers.com/howto/msconfig.html it's the second one down, the first is the older one. |
that's a cool tip. I didn't realize the same one would work.
I don't mean to jump in on this one, but here's a thanks from me for the heads up :) |
Also, try Startup Cop. Very good app. I'm sure you can get it at www.download.com

I personally use startup control panel http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml
