VERY WEIRD.. Problem..

Got a very queer, weird problem.. I dunno if any of you still play "quake - QuakeWorld" but hey it ownz.

Whilst I am playing, everything will be fine.. then all of a sudden my mouse will start spinning out of control, shooting everywhere, moving everywhere and I will start spamming ":)"...

Now, people have said it was my mouse (which is an a4 tech ps2, 2 button pos).. but the only ":)" bind I have is on my keyboard.. then I unbound it and it kept doing it..

I have absolutely NFI what is going on :(

And I havnt tried other games ... but qw is all I play..!!

Any ideas :|?

I have used adaware, and tried a few small suggestions by people.. but to no luck, and unfortunantly... formatting is out of the question.

It even seems to do it in other games and in windows...

http://quaketf.com/murd/images/task.jpg <- is my task manager..

Cheers..

I think that would be a "My mouse is old, and starting to break" problem. I don't quite understand what you mean by, "but the only ":)" bind I have is on my keyboard.. then I unbound it and it kept doing it.."

Anyways, I too will follow the answers from the other "people" and say your mouse is just a *tad* out of date.
EDIT
Seems a bit odd but it looks as if we have the same birthday... GO US!!

Haha cool :)

What I mean, is that I have a key on my keyboard bound to say :)... and whenever I have my 360's with my mouse and its going all spastic, I spam my ":)" bind..

Help!!

in otherwords, its not just my mouse.. keyboard to..

That seems to happen when you plug/unplug the PS2 connector for your mouse or keyboard and the hardware gets confused. So it might be a loose connection somewhere? Sorry I don't have any more detail but that sounds like what it is to me....

could it be lag? I've noticed my controls go nuts when I get lag sometimes.

Naw, it's not lag :)

I get awesome pings for 56k, 130-250
