Best way to OC the P4?

So I have a 2.8C HT P4 and an ASUS P4P800 deluxe mobo which is the 865 chipset I believe. I have used the overclocking feature on the mobo and gotten the the cpu up to 3.36, however this makes my RAM timing slower.

I realize that the multiplier on the P4 is locked, but is there any other way to OC the cpu without negatively affecting my RAM timings?

using the fsb is the only way to overclock the p4s... depending on how your bios is you may be able to try increasing your memory timings ... but be careful and change everything gradually making sure its all stable between adjustments

oh and yah... what does words do your avatar flash?

Just a thought but Toms's hardware did a ram timing vs. speed and their results shows that timing has a 1-2 fps effect on most games.

when I increase the fsb, at some point I have to up the voltage to keep things stable. Becareful when increasing voltages; bad things can happen. When I find a fsb that is almost stable, a slight voltage increase makes it rock solid.
