Help with encoding in DivX using VirtuaDub...
I am using VDub to try and encode using DivX compression, but it is not giving me that option. I have the DivX codec installed, I know this because I am able to watch movies encoded in DivX.

VDub must be installed after the divx codec. if it was installed first, remove and reinstall it.

Unless you have DivX pro, I don't think you can encode.

Asking for Divx Pro without adware is asking for wares, so Im afraid we cant help you, however you can DL a trial copy of DR Divx from divx.com, and that is free for 30 days, and has no evil-ware.
link for Dr. Divx download/freetrial: http://www.divx.com/divx/?src=toptab...rom_/index.php Hope that helps. |
I am using Xvid as well.
Dude- Is that your normal capture settings? If so do you go back and edit out commercials etc and what program do you do that with. I am currently capping in mpeg2 then using virtualdub to edit and save them as avi with xvid encoding. If I can eliminate the step of the large mpeg2 files that would be great. |
