Unix command in X

I'm trying to get OS X to use a hard drive from a Windows machine, it detects it, but I can't do anything with it. Are there any Terminal commands I can use to force it to access it?

you will more than likely need to mount it. check the man pages on mount (assuming you have those.. really haven't used FreeBSD)..

you will need to know the partition type the windows drive is in (FAT32 or NTFS)
