XHTML strict. But I haven't coded recently I must admit.
I have some long-term projects that I should be continuing, and they are and probably will stay XHTML 1.0 Strict

If cheerios' description is accurate, then, with the exception of some standalone tags - IMG and META tags being the only ones I can think of - Yeah, I do that. If it's a container, I treat it as such.

There's also <br>, <hr> etc which turn into <br /> <hr /> respectively. All attributes are to surrounded by brackets, alt attributes are to be included in all <img /> tags, no capitals are to be used.
The advantages are the code is tidier, and it's easier to read (am I forgetting any?). When combined with CSS layout techniques you get very light code which is great for page load time and for search engine optimisation. I myself code in XHTML 1.0 Strict, I might get round to learning what 1.1 is one day. |

Without a doubt I just HTML, however, without knowing what xHTML is other than the descriptions in the prior posts, then I'm very close to xHTML code. I don't know XML, but the standards listed I follow very strictly, except the capital letters thing, which depends on my mood. But I think I'll have to do some research into that standard.

I use XHTML when it suits me. I dont know how to use it that well, but sometimes it just works out. I always code in standards compliant code though, no matter what I am using.

I use HTML, and just the other day started learning CSS, so I feel spiffy again...
Nah, making webpages isn't my thing, so I'm not probably going to go out and learn the newest webpage making standard, whether its html/xhtml/xml/dhtml/whatevertml. |
