Adobe 6.0 Professional Problem

Computer
Windows XP
512mb of ram

Everytime I try converting a file into a pdf i get this error

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams; ErrorInfo: CalCMYKProfile U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

any ideas?

not specific ideas, but in general...

is this 'a file' the same file, or ANY file you try to convert.

so you can narrow it down to either a problem file or a problem prog.
(and if it's the latter, start with an uninstall, reboot, reinstall of the prog)

:)

It's does it both with word (.doc) and Visio files I tried reinstalling Adobe 6.0 but still does the same thing

My only experience with the acrobat writer is that to make one you 'print' to the acrobat distiller from the application which created the source document to be made into a PDF.

Output from this process=PDF...

Is that what your doing?

Has this ever worked? Is it a new install?

Got it fixed....I had to set the colors in Visio to plain RGB color
