Remove "links"
The links folder, which contains nothing, always appears on my IE favorites list no matter how many times I delete it, anyone know how to remove it for good?
Thanks in advance.

go into your windows folder, click favorites, rightclick the links folder and goto properties. Check Hidden and apply changes. Restart IE and It's gone. That's how I did it.
Edit: Actually just click favorites in your browser -> Manage favorites, right click the favorites folder, goto properties and make it hidden from there.

"Well if you're like me, you probably have tried to delete the "Links" folder in your favorites, and then come to find out that when you restart the "Links" folder is still there. Well if you follow these directions you will not have that problem again. 1. Start regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar 2. Locate the string "LinksFolderName", right click on it and select modify and set the value to a blank string. 3. Exit regedit 4. Now delete the Links folder. " Any questions?
