Cannot create direct show player
So I click on a link that is a short vid. Used to be I would see the vid. But now I get the above massage and no vid. WTF? Someone suggested I delve into the depth of microsofts website and down load dirextX and insall it. So I did, but nothing changed.
Oh yea, I'm browsing w mozilla. |
probably missing codecs.
direct show is just the overall video playing system. check media player |

do you get the same error with other browsers? and what kind of file is the video (.mov, .wma, .mpg, .......)?

do a repair install on media player, it should have that option in the add/remove software component
