Just a quick warning, it's not rteally the "wattage" of the PSU which is so important, but the current it'll allow out on each line (ie 5v, 12v etc) which you can only get by looking at more detailed specs, or usually on the PSU itself.
From the photos at modthebox.com: 12v: 12A 5v: 35A 3.3v: 24A - though sadly these are "Max" and it doesn't say if it can keep going all day at those... |
First off, do you have a Pentium 4 2.2 GHz or a Celeron 2.2 GHz? If you have a Pentium 4, I suggest this motherboard:
http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...es=1&model=137 You can get it at NewEgg for $100.00. I wouldn't buy EITHER of those videocards. For the money, they're a ripoff. Get a GeForce 4 TI4200 128 MB instead. They're about $100 and a hell of a lot more powerful. A 350w power supply will be enough for your computer as long as you don't have like 30 hard drives or something. If you get a huge powered video card then it might not be enough...even though that's highly doubtful. Good luck! -Lasereth |
its a celerion 2.2....
i looked at that card and it dont have any monitor port...just 2 dvi ports...does that work for normal monitor? card on newegg and it was 136$....u know a place 2 get it chaper? here is link of newegg one i found http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...alue=3107,3668 |
Oh, I don't think the motherboard I listed supports Celerons. You should be able to find another one just as good on NewEgg for that price though.
Take a look at the 64 MB GeForce 4 TI4200 prices. The 64 MB has actually proven more powerful than the 128 MB on some tests, so it's about the same for a much less price. www.gameve.com also has good videocard deals if you really want a 128 MB one. And yeah, that card will work with a regular monitor, it just has a TV-OUT port as well. Good luck! -Lasereth |
if you are worried about a PS.. take a look at this one.. get it while its on sale.. good deal i think
