Movies won't play on 2nd Monitor... please HELP
Hi,
I've been trying to connect my laptop to a monitor, and watch a movie, but it's not working. The 2nd monitor shows Windows, and everything else, even Media player, however it doesn't show the video feed. This doesnt work with DVD's and avi's. Does anybody know what I have to do? Sander |

thing is. i cant see any dual monitor setup. the only thing that shows that another monitor is connected is in device manager. thats all. i only connected the monitor, but it works fine, so should be installed fine, or not. do i have to install it differently?

i just tried, and i can't even get a dvd to play on my second monitor if i set it to primary. however, i know i used to be able to when i had a different monitor (crt) and i guess that was also with a different dvd player (probably msidvd)
maybe try a different program??? as my comp is right now, the dvd window is strange -- if i span it across the two monitors, video shows in the half that's on my main monitor but the other half is blank. |

What gfx card are you using? Are you wanting a display where you get the movie fullscreen on monitor #2, and not on monitor #1; or do you want an exact duplicate?

Yeah, you're gonna have to use the overlay options like AxByC said. With my TI4200 you have to make the TV the Secondary display and the monitor the Primary Display. Then make sure the options are set to Overlay, and make sure the fullscreen device is set to the Secondary display.
It's sort of hard to explain how to do this without knowing which videocard you have. Hell, I imagine it'll be real fun if you don't have an NVIDIA card. Good luck! -Lasereth
